Procedure
Enrol online now or complete the International Student Application Form and Contract of Enrolment and return it to Ҵý, along with:
- A recent school report
- A letter, in English, introducing yourself to your host family (written by you without assistance)
- Some pictures of you and perhaps your family and friends
- Any other relevant certificates, national examination results, and character references.
- If you are doing NCEA you may be required to do an online English test (more information is below). We will advise you if this is required. The majority of students will NOT be required to complete an English test prior to your enrolment being accepted.
If your application is successful you will receive:
- An invoice for fees
- An “offer of place” at Ҵý.

Applications are processed within 1-2 weeks and you will be notified of acceptance.
English Test
Do you need to complete one?
If you are wish to complete New Zealands National Qualification, "The National Certificate of Educational Achievement" (NCEA) then you maybe asked to complete an online English Test prior to your enrolment being accepted. This is to ensure you have a sufficient level of English to allow you the opportunity to pass assessment tasks once you are here. We will let you know if you are required to complete an online test.

Student Visas
Apply for your Student Visa from your nearest New Zealand Embassy or High Commission. When we have received your fees, you will be forwarded the following information.
- A receipt for fees
- A “Letter of Acceptance”
- An “Offer of Place”
- A guarantee of accommodation
Be sure to inform the college of your arrival dates. Students should arrive in New Zealand before school opens and leave for their home country at the completion of their course.
TRAVEL AND MEDICAL INSURANCE
It is a compulsory for students to have full insurance cover and you will need to provide us with a copy of your policy and evidence of its validity, in English, if you are providing your own cover.
Ҵý holds a Master Policy with and we recommend that you allow us to arrange suitable cover under this policy.
Depending on the length of stay in New Zealand, the cost will range from NZ$300 for 3 months – NZ$700 for 12 months.
Students who have a different insurance scheme must have a fee protection cover.
