Basketball – Girls A
Last week our A Girls Basketball team headed over to Wellington for 3 days to play some of the top schools in the Wellington region in preparation for the South Island Schools Championships later this term. First up the girls played Wellington East Girls College running straight off the ferry onto the court. The team fought hard after a long day travelling to narrowly go down 64-74. Next up they played Queen Margaret College and the team were on fire defensively picking up a 57-37 win. Backing up with only an hour and half turn around it was off to Mana College, and in an entertaining game Nayland came out with a 61-33 win. To finish the tour off we travelled to Sacred Heart College winning 68-47 giving the team valuable time together on and off the court.
