Readers Cup 2024

It was a celebration of good books, story, and the art of reading.

The annual Top of the South/Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka-a-Mト「i Readers Cup competition took place on Wednesday 19 June at テロフメエォテス.

Teams of Year 9 students from Colleges across our rohe arrived by bus, van and car, all dressed in their best character costumes – just for fun and why not, ready to pitch their wits against the other schools to try to take home the Readers Cup. This is an annually held event that tests the deep book knowledge ト〔onga have on each of the six selected books that all have read.

As usual, the results were close but the winning team for 2024, who will continue on to represent our rohe at the National Readers Cup competition in September in Auckland, was our テロフメエォテス team. They were super excited and are so ready for the nationals.

Very proud of you Sam Turner, Prakruti Korrapati, Juniper Nevin, Alma Stewart and Daisy Filby.
