We are looking forward to welcoming you all next week. Just a reminder that all Year 9 students and any new Year 10-13 students are expected to be at school on Thursday 1 February, starting with a mihi whakatau at 8:50am. ALL students attend school on Friday 2 February, starting at staggered times as detailed below. Monday 5 February is a normal school day.

SENIOR STUDENT COURSE CHANGES (YEARS 11, 12 & 13)

All senior students with timetable clashes or other compelling reasons for change, should have booked an appointment with their Kaiarataki (Dean) or the Careers Advisors on Course Confirmation Day (Friday 26 January). 

Senior students are asked to check their school emails again this evening. Students with remaining clashes or timetable gaps will have another opportunity to make an appointment to see their Kaiarataki (Dean) on Thursday 1 February. The link to book appointments will be sent by email.

JUNIOR TIMETABLES (YEARS 9 & 10)

Junior students will be given their timetables on the first day of school. 

STARTING TIMES

Thursday 1 February

  • 9:00am: Y9 students, new Y10-13 students, international and Y13 Peer Mentors mihi whakatau in hall
  • 1:00pm: New Y10-13 students dismissed
  • 2:45pm: Y9 students & Peer Mentors dismissed

Friday 2 February

School day starts at staggered times as noted below:

  • 8:50am: Y9 to tutor class, Y12/13 to hall
  • 9:30am: Y10/11 to hall
  • 10:00am: All assemblies released to tutor time
  • 11:10am: Interval
  • 11:35am Normal classes periods 3-5
  • 3:15pm: School day finishes

Year 11, 12 & 13 students with incomplete timetables or clashes must see their Kaiarataki (Dean) before going home.

Monday 5 February

  • 8:50 – 3:15pm: Normal school day

School office opens Wednesday 17 January 2024.

OTHER KEY DATES

Wednesday 7 February: 

  • School photos for all Y9, Y11 and new students
  • 5:00-6:00pm: Meet the HOLA Music Evening (MU1)

Wednesday 14 February

  • 5:30-7:00pm: Senior Outdoor Education Parent Evening
